I’ve noticed many guides do not talk about finances and money. I know it is taboo to discuss money but my intention is to help you make the right buying choice for your budget. It totally depends on how much your bag costs. Chanel is like a factory – they make handbags in different shapes, sizes and colours. Check out Spotted Fashion for up to date prices. Personally, I like the Boy bag line – I like the shape and the prices aren’t as ridiculous as the Cruise bags. Let’s use the Boy bags as the template.

I love the fresh, powdery pressed look of the Rainbow bag and Chanel is not playing games charging $4,300 for this bag. How can you pay for this as a passionate Chanel fan without going broke or bankrupt? 

Should you buy the Gucci Marmont?

The Gucci Marmont bag is one that is becoming popular with celebrities and socialites to the point Gucci has started manufacturing different sizes. I am not crazy about the new releases of Marmonts that look like long Chanel totes. There is something about them that looks creepy. I am going to summarise why the Gucci Marmont should be purchased, and why you should steer clear:

Are fur coats worth buying?

It’s crazy because normally I hate lavender however this lavender fur coat looks luscious to me and I think it is worth a purchase if you love looking glamorous. I think fur coats are worth a purchase if:

• You want to stay warm in colder months
• You want the old glamour of fur coats
• You have the budget for it

Should you buy faux fur or real fur?

I think you should buy want you want. I don’t like it when people pontificate about fur whether it should be real or not. Buy products that are legal and that make you happy. I think faux fur pretty much looks like the real thing, however I know plenty of people who love real fur and say it is softer.

Whatever texture you choose, make sure you make the length of the coat short. Short fur coats look more modern and fresh compared to longer ones.
