I bought MAC’s Ruby Woo a while ago and I decided to wear it yesterday when I was filming for my YouTube channel. I definitely really like it but the consistency and texture of the matte formula means your lips need to be in tip top shape before. MAC’s cream and satin lipsticks don’t need lips that are super soft before but because the matte consistency seems into the grooves of your lips, if your lips haven’t been exfoliated before, it won’t look as good. So make sure you exfoliate your lips before using Ruby Woo as it really shows your lips imperfections. That said, the colour is vibrant and eye-catching.

Is Ruby Woo a good red lipstick for black women?

Yes – I like Ruby Woo for black women whether you are light skinned or dark. It works for all skin tones but it does require some preparation before hand. My Yellow Almond Shaped Nails

How did I get these yellow almond shaped nails done?

These are my yellow almond shaped nails that I did all by myself and I put them on my Instagram profile. I thought it was worth sharing here as well. I used artificial tips that I purchased and I also used a nail polish brand from Tanzania called Lavy. The nail polish is not that stroke but a few coats gets the job done. I got a lot of compliments from using this nail polish and many people wanted to know where I purchased the artificial tips (I got them on holiday in South Africa).

I would definitely get these almond shaped nails done by myself but I remember the prep time took forever and you also need to search high and low for excellent nail glue so the nails don’t fall off.

I did these nails myself and they lasted for 7 days without falling out with a lot of wear and tear such as showering, washing clothes and being out and out with them etc.

Would I do my own nails again? Yes. Could I improve? Absolutely.

This is one of the most inspiring and gorgeous coffin, stiletto and almond nail styles I have seen in years and I absolutely ADORE wearing coffin and almond fake nails. I love the attention to detail and I can only imagine applying the floral appliques must have taken a lot of time for the nail artist. I think this look can be mimicked but it is going to take a lot of time and unless you know what you are doing, you should probably go to a professional.

What do you think of these floral almond nails? I do like press ons for that stiletto effect though I imagine the nails in this image were achieved with tips or acrylics.
