I was at Hermes Sevres recently in Paris and I picked up 2 sold out items from the homewares department – the Balcon du Guadalquivir Square Plates.

Hermes have increased the prices of men’s ties, silk scarves and fashion accessories. I have some examples below that shows the brand new Hermes price increase. This increase is of USD for right now but as soon as I know other currencies I will let you know.

Hermes does not say on the record that it bans customers but there are theories on social media that you can get banned if you do the following things:

Being caught reselling their products

Hermes really does not like people who resell their products especially their quota bags such as the Birkin, Kelly and Constance. If you are caught reselling instore offers, it is likely that you could be blacklisted from that boutique and the brand. Hermes want loyal clients, not people who are trying to resell.

Being disruptive in the store

This could be a reason of being banned because by being disruptive, you would be putting employees in a difficult position. Being told to leave by security could definitely affect your standing at the store. Being rude and aggressive to employees can also affect your

Getting caught reselling sale items

If you are lucky enough to be invited to a Hermes private sale, don’t resell their items. In the London boutiques, they can track who has sold sales items and some people say you will be banned from shopping from them in the future.

Here is a Hermes checklist I am using for my upcoming Paris trip in a few months. I am using this to keep my on track for trying to score a Birkin or Kelly. Even if I don’t score, I think this checklist could help you if you are trying to.

• Vaccine Pass – You need a vaccine pass to access most public buildings in Paris & France
• Bank card in Euros – Save $$$ by having Euros on your debit card. Put USD as a backup on another card and tell your bank you are travelling so they don’t block the card
• Fully charged phone – Make sure your phone is fully charged as sometimes the Parisian boutiques send texts telling you to come to your appointment early
• Time allotted – Make sure you have enough time to visit the stores in case you don’t get an appointment. 2 days should be enough time.
• 3 bags in a broad range of colours – Have a list of 3 bags in a defined but broad range of colours i.e you want a Kelly 25 in Craie, Nata etc so the SA has an idea of what you are looking for.
• Business card – Take a business card with you in case you hit it off with a SA who may want to sell you other items (they ship for VIPs and big spenders)
